Julie you are a bad influence! I spent probably about 2 hours looking at the amigurumi. My daughter also saw the amineko, and I've been elected to make her one too. I haven't crocheted in a while, except to do a provisional cast-on. Good luck with yours, and please wish me luck on mine!

Thanks for the shout-out Julie!

So, you think that Stitch n Bitch Crochet can overcome my anti-crochet bias??

;-)

Donna

Thanks julie. I am trying to learn to crochet at the moment and finding it quite difficult. The books I have aren't getting me anywhere. I ordered Happy Hooker imediately upon returning home. Thanks for the tip. I ordered off Amazon and found the price extremely reasonable (including shipping to Australia) in comparison to our local bookshops.

Julie,
I have made several Amineko cats. The best yarn I've used is good ole cheap Red Heart yarn with a size F hook. Go figure!

Jen

Gaaah! I thought that I was successfully fending off the whole crochet thing (which I did as a child and now no longer like.) But crocheted cats! And psychotic tomatoes! Must crochet... :o)

BTW, love the podcast -- you consistently make me interested in things that never appealed to me before.

Hey Julie! Thanks so much for the shout out for CrochetCast! What a surprise!

Anyway...as you already know (since you mentioned you've been listening to my previous casts) I've been a little behind in getting episodes out, but hopefully that will be a thing of the past!

I really like your crocheted baby blanket and think it's quite awesome for your "first project"!!!

Great episode and thanks for your hard work!

Wow, your afghan is beautiful. Loved your podcast too, as usual!

Anne

I loved thise episode and the japanese crochet...just a must to make for my kids Christmas stocking this year.
I just want to say how much I enjoy your podcasts...I am disabled and enjoy fibre arts as therapy...more the process that matters to me so I knit a lot, spin a little and crochet too. please keep the programmes coming.....
